Custom Laminated Sports Mouthguards

Superior protection,
lower risk.

Contact sport can be a risky business. A sports mouthguard doesn’t only protect the teeth, it also protects the lip and gum tissue, tongue and jaw. A professionally fitted mouthguard that is custom-designed for your mouth will help to absorb any impact to the face, minimising injury (and dental expenses!).

All our mouthguards are made with an additional layer of laminate, giving you both extra protection and a thinner, more comfortable fit! Everything you want and need in a mouthguard. You’ll also receive a complimentary protective case to keep your mouthguard safe while you’re off the field.

Why Wear A Custom-Made Mouthguard?

Unlike a generic mouthguard available at your local pharmacy, a custom mouthguard is designed by our Dental Prosthetist from a high-precision mould of your mouth. This ensures that the mouthguard sits securely over your teeth and gums, allowing you to speak and breathe comfortably.

The tendency of over-the-counter mouthguards to move around in the mouth and change shape poses greater harm than good. The Australian Dental Association (ADA) recently launched a campaign to encourage sports athletes to think about the quality of the mouthguards they wear. A hockey player by the name of Christina Johnson endured serious injuries to the mouth that required reconstructive surgery. As a result she has called for a ban of “boil-and-bite” mouthguards maintaining that they offer little protection.

Children’s Mouthguards

While adults will need their mouthguards reviewed annually, children may well need a new mouthguard made-to-fit every 12 months as their baby teeth and mouths continue to grow and change. Protecting a child’s baby teeth is essential as these primary teeth will have an impact on the growth of the adult teeth still to come.

We also understand that convincing a child to wear a mouthguard can be challenging at times, which is why we offer a wide range of colours to choose from (including a combination for club colours)!
